Artist Ida Vikfors.

"Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated by different materials, surfaces and texture, and most often I have looked more with my hands than with my eyes"

Ida Vikfors is a Finnish artist with a background as a pattern designer and artisan in textiles. A minimalist expression with a focus on creating different dimensions, allowing the viewer to explore shapes and shadows that change over time depending on the light. Her work appears tactile and almost a bit fragile, though it is a rough and long-lasting surface.

Painting "Pelto", by Ida Vikfors.

"We all need a solid ground, a place to feel safe and to find stillness. This series of artworks is an expression of my experiences with my own mind, where I have created a place for you to find your solid ground. Sculptural lines create a surface that changes depending on the light or what you want to feel that day."
